Mary Pat Scofield
Mission Statement: I am a Hospital Commissioner because I fervently believe in the importance of the hospital to the Lake Chelan community. The hospital is key to the quality of life, economic stability and the future growth of the entire valley. The hospital is the one entity that is critical to EVERY person and visitor to the valley. Knowing it sits on the hill for the time we may need it gives a sense of security to all.
In today's climate of declining reimbursements, rising insurance costs, decline in the number of medical professional, etc..., keeping a rural hospital in business is a constant challenge. It needs the full and constant support of the community. We must not take it for granted.
I want to work and contribute what I can to ensure the quality of health care now and in the future by working together with the other Commissioners, our CEO and the entire hospital staff. Professional Experience: Mary Pat worked in TV Broadcasting and Management. She is currently assisting in the development of Bear Mountain Ranch, including its real estate development and The Golf Course at Bear Mountain Ranch. Board Experience: Mary Pat has been on the hospital board since 2002. She spent eight years on the State Board of the Make a Wish Foundation (currently Emeritus Board), seven years on the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Foundation Board (currently Emeritus Board), and five years on the Chelan Valley Independent School Board (currently Emeritus Board). Mary Pat is currently on the board of Heritage Heights and the Lake Chelan Tourism and Promotion Group. Position: President
